Engine Valve Cover
Engine Valve Cover from Evergreen
An engine valve cover encloses the valvetrain at the top of the cylinder head and keeps oil in and dirt out. On many modern engines the cover also includes the PCV system and an integrated gasket.
When to Replace
- Cracked or warped plastic cover
- Oil leaks that continue after replacing the gasket
- Failed built-in PCV components
Installation Tips
- Clean the head sealing surface before installation
- Install a new gasket and spark plug tube seals
- Tighten bolts in sequence to the specified torque
