Engine Bearing Kit
Engine Bearing Kit from Evergreen
An Evergreen engine bearing kit includes the crankshaft main bearings and connecting rod bearings for a bottom-end bearing job. Depending on the engine, the kit also includes thrust washers; engines that use a flanged thrust main bearing do not need separate washers. Gaskets are not included in a bearing kit. It suits engines where the crankshaft needs new bearings but the pistons and rings do not need replacement.
When to Replace
- Bearing knock or low oil pressure
- Bearing damage found during an oil pan inspection
- Crankshaft regrind requiring undersize bearings
Installation Tips
- Confirm journal sizes (standard or undersize) before ordering
- Check oil clearance on every journal
- Check crankshaft end play after installing the thrust bearing or thrust washers
